Bainbridge operates on nearly a $20 million dollar budget annually.  This year, the Mayor and Council reduced the ad valorum millage rate for the third consecutive year .  The current rate is 3.362 mills.  What that means to you, the citizen, is that the City appropriates less than 4% of its budget annually from property taxes.  It is our conviction that not many other cities in Georgia can say that.

So, how do we pay for what we do?  We continually monitor each service we offer to ensure whenever possible that every service is paying it's way.  We have also off-set many costs by grants from other governments, both State and Federal.  Daily we strive to provide our citizenry with cost-effiecient and cost-effective services.
