Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Historic Preservation Division (HPD):  HPD works in partnership with federal and state agencies, local governments, preservation organizations, community groups and individuals to achieve a greater appreciation and use of historic resources in the contest of everyday life.  You may find information on federal and state income tax credits as well as state property tax freeze assessment information.

National Main Street Center:  The National Main Street Center, a part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, created the Main Street Approach t downtown revitalization and promotes the use of the approach to communities to revitalize their traditional commercial areas.  It serves as the nation's clearinghouse for information, technical assistance, research and advocacy on preservation-based commercial district revitalization.

The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation:  The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation is headquartered in Atlanta and its website has valuable information regarding Historic Preservation, as well as the Georgia Main Street program.  The Historic Preservation Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources serves as the State Historic Preservation Office in Georgia.

Valdosta State University Small Business Development Center:  VSU's Small Business Development Center is a public service unit that provides business and economic development assistance.
