| CALLAHAN BUILDING
PURCHASED BY RUDY MARTIN (200 block of South Broad St)
The historic Callahan Building, which occupies most of the 200 block of South Broad Street, was purchased by Rudy Martin, owner of The Money Tree, Inc., from Rowland Bolton. The Callahan Building was constructed in 1907 by John W. Callahan, who owned a fleet of river boats that ran from Columbus to Bainbridge to Apalachicola.

The 23,200 square foot building will consolidate several of The Money Tree's departments. Currently, The Money Tree's corporate offices occupy 8,000 square feet at 114 S. Broad Street (which is one block nort of the Callahan Building), but none of those offices will be moving. Three-fourths of the building was occupied by Tri-State office products until the business moved to Shotwell Street over a year ago and MediaCom still occupies the remaining portion of the building.
